So you want to get a body like Usher?

Great stuff! Well it isn't going to be easy because you know Usher put a lot of work into it. So first as always lets look at the stats.

Description
As well as an obligatory superstar bod Usher actually needs to be in peak physical shape to perform to his peak when he takes the stage. The RnB star is a highly active individual who has a dynamic, high octane dancing style and is renowned for his impressive physique and washboard abs. though not big or imposing the Singer in very toned and has a chiseled and well defined body, much lauded after in the RnB world. Usher is proof that there’s not necessarily a need for extreme exercise routines even if your favorite celebrity claims to use it. Follow a balanced diet, exercise, and you too shall have great abs and taught pectorals.


Exercise
To get in shape Usher doesn’t really weight train. Instead Usher does old school circuit training to stay in condition. He stretches for 10 minutes before and after every bout of exercise and employs a combination of Pilates, yoga, and massage to loosen himself up for dance moves. He boxes and break-dances for speed and agility, which is a mainstay of his live routine. Usher also regularly does what he calls “40 minutes of funk”: stretching, rope skipping, jumping jacks, pushups, leg raises and triceps dips. For Strength and endurance he runs and performs an intense 5-minute circuit of Cobra Pushups, Arnold presses, V presses, modified lateral raises, and pushups -- all part of a routine he's using to build a back as ripped as his trademark abs. For the abs usher performs 1,000 crunches every day!

Diet
whilst we wouldn’t recommend his ab marathon or old-school circuit training for mass gains, Usher does follow a modern bodybuilder-friendly diet of grilled Chicken and fish, moderate amounts of complex carbohydrates, and lots of fruits and leafy veggies are the mainstays of his healthy diet

Problems
Usher is naturally very slight so can attribute much of his shape to genetics. Some will find this shape more achievable than others.
